Job summary

Agile Defense LLC in Falls Church, VA, is seeking a Data Engineer to join our secure data integration team. You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, process structured and unstructured data with Databricks, Spark, and related tools, and collaborate with data scientists and mission stakeholders.

This role requires U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI potential) and the ability to work onsite in a SCIF at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• 3+ years of data engineering, software development, data analytics, or enterprise-platform experience.
• Experience with Python and SQL, data validation, modeling, and quality; familiarity with Spark, PySpark, Databricks.
• Experience supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Understanding of version control, testing, documentation, and Agile development.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Active US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and maintenance of secure data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Works with data scientists, engineers, and mission stakeholders to process structured and unstructured data using Databricks, Spark, Palantir Foundry, Maven Smart Systems, or comparable platforms.
