Job summary

Agile Defense, Inc. is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to design and implement data interfaces, schemas, and pipelines for multi-classification environments. You will build REST and gRPC services, MCP servers, and data lineage components to support auditable, compliant integrations across government networks.

Role focuses on secure facilities work in the National Capital Region with travel to the San Diego area. Collaboration with architects and engineers is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive progress in fast moving, ambiguous environments. Must maintain required TS/SCI access.
• Experience designing schemas in Protobuf, JSON Schema, or Avro.
• Experience building REST or gRPC services and MCP servers.
• Experience with ETL and streaming pipelines in production.
• Experience with record linkage and data lineage.
• Ability to handle data across multiple classification levels in DoD environments.
• Experience integrating with systems under government approval processes.
• Experience integrating with Maven Smart System or command and control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build TEP's external integrations and data services: schemas, REST and gRPC interfaces, MCP servers, ETL and streaming pipelines, record linkage, data lineage, and handling for data at multiple classification levels.
• Collaborate with the Lead Software Architect and full-stack engineers to build compliant interfaces and data models.
• Prepare work in advance for government approvals as information becomes available.
• Ensure data lineage, auditable inputs, and clear documentation for security reviews.
