Job summary

DAn Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Software Engineer to support a mission-critical federal program in a full-time capacity at facilities in the Washington, DC area or Charleston, SC.

The role emphasizes systems programming, database internals, and secure, scalable software across cloud and on-prem environments. You will work with C/C++/Rust, analyze database engines and network protocols, and contribute to IaC deployments and identity integration using OIDC.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• Typically 10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience in Intelligence Community
• Hands-on systems programming with C/C++ or Rust
• Experience with OS interfaces, processes, concurrency, and multithreading
• Experience analyzing database internals, networks, or low-level software
• Strong SQL, relational and graph database knowledge
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, automation and identity integration (OIDC)
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and enterprise security controls
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps methodologies
• Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• CompTIA Security+ or higher cybersecurity certification

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and deploy software using C, C++, Rust, Go, Java, Python, or Node.js
• Develop concurrent and multithreaded applications using systems programming principles
• Analyze database engine source code, protocols, and serialization formats
• Design and troubleshoot networked applications using sockets and client-server architectures
• Develop relational and graph database solutions including SQL optimization
• Support PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, AWS services, Elasticsearch
• Modernize services and develop Infrastructure as Code
• Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications and supporting infrastructure
• Integrate identity services using OIDC and Zero Trust principles
• Maintain technical documentation and operation procedures
