Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Bethesda, MD, seeks a security-cleared engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices platform in a mission-focused environment. The role emphasizes hands-on Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration to support big data workloads.

The ideal candidate will have TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, and strong Linux plus container expertise. On-site work with a first shift is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years of related experience or higher.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using a Kubernetes-based microservice architecture with Elasticsearch and Kafka.
• Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes.
• Design, develop, and support scalable infrastructure including physical and virtualized environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, and design sessions.
