Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a Data Management and Automation Specialist to analyze, automate, and sustain administrative workflows for a Joint Staff element. The role requires on-site support in the National Capital Region and an active TS/SCI clearance, with periodic travel to supported commands and industry locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data analytics, information systems, computer science, business analytics, engineering, or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in data management, business intelligence, workflow automation, analytics, or related discipline.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Excel, or comparable enterprise tools.
• Experience translating business requirements into data models, dashboards, automated workflows, and user-facing solutions.
• Knowledge of data quality, data governance, access control, records management, and configuration management principles.
• Strong communication, documentation, and user training skills.
• Ability to work independently with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current administrative and force management workflows to identify data gaps and opportunities for automation.
• Design, build, test, and maintain data management and workflow automation solutions using Microsoft 365 tools.
• Develop dashboards, trackers, automated notifications, approval workflows, forms, and reports to improve visibility and reduce cycle time.
• Integrate data from multiple headquarters sources while preserving data lineage and access controls.
• Establish and execute data quality controls, reconciliation, and issue tracking processes.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Document data definitions, solution architecture, and user guides; provide training and support.
• Monitor performance, resolve defects, and coordinate updates with IT and cybersecurity personnel.
