Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Dedicated Cloud Engineer to support the DAF CLOUDworks program. You will work with multiple teams to enable cloud-hosted applications, implement secure cloud offerings, and optimize deployment efficiency.

Responsibilities include deploying Kubernetes-centric solutions, automating CI/CD, and managing networking, storage, and security controls. A TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II are required or attainable.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification within 60 days of start date.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components including network, storage, Linux/Windows, and IT security concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

Responsibilities

• Enable and deploy cloud-hosted apps and services with mission partners.
• Design and support Kubernetes-centric cloud solutions.
• Automate deployment, config, and monitoring via GitOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Manage networking, storage, Linux/Windows hosts, and security controls.
• Contribute to platform engineering for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Diagnose complex issues across apps, networks, containers, and clouds.
