Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance DAF CLOUDworks for the AFRL in Rome, NY. This on-site role offers relocation assistance and requires a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, plus DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification within 60 days.

Travel up to 10% is possible. Responsibilities include technical support, cloud operations, and implementing new requirements while coordinating with distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required, with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CASP+ or Security+) within 60 days of start date.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers leveraging DAF CLOUDworks.
• Perform operations and sustainment of cloud services.
• Modify and enhance offerings to implement new requirements, improve functionality, increase efficiency, or reduce operating/deployment costs.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and geographically distributed teams.
• Support 24/7 on‑call availability.
• Follow Agile development processes and full lifecycle development.
