Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a DevOps Engineer/Principal DevOps Engineer for NASIC at Wright Patterson AFB. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and scaling platform infrastructure with Kubernetes, Cloud, GitLab, and related tools within a Platform Engineering team.

Candidates should have a DevOps and software or sysadmin background, active security clearances, and experience with container tech and automation. Relocation may be available and travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience or MS with 0+ years for Level 2
• BA/BS in STEM with 5+ years or MS with 3+ years for Level 3
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Active CompTIA Security+, Security+ or CISSP certification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in DevOps, software development, or systems administration
• Experience with IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with OCI-compatible container tech like Podman or Docker
• Experience managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
• Experience with Linux OS and cloud services (VMs, storage, networking)
• Experience with Git and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go)

• Build, maintain, and scale foundational infrastructure as part of Platform Engineering
