Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a TS/SCI Cloud Engineer to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA. The role emphasizes building secure AWS cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and integrating with DevOps practices in a fast-paced agile environment.

You will maintain security controls, mentor junior developers, and contribute to full-stack deployments in a PaaS environment with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years IT experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security requirements for operation of systems with the A&A Team.
• Build out autoscaling, support new services, and optimize cost/ authentication/ search.
• Produce detailed documentation for systems and deployments.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS).
• Automate and optimize service deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deliver full-stack web applications to production and resolve ops issues.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in design/implementation of features.
• Write unit tests and perform code-quality analysis.
