Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Engagement Manager for AWS Professional Services to lead large, complex cloud engagements from planning through execution. You will own outcomes end-to-end, align technical solutions with customer goals, and build high-performing teams across AWS, partners, and DoD customers.

You will apply Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and ITIL frameworks to deliver multi-workstream plans while translating customer needs into executable roadmaps and ensuring they meet mission

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leading IT project delivery for external customers or equivalent
• 1+ years of Scrum Master or Product Owner experience across multiple cross-functional teams
• 3+ years of cloud computing experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above

Responsibilities

• Own and lead large, complex engagements end-to-end, delivering business outcomes independently with limited guidance
• Redirect distressed programs to successful outcomes; deal effectively with ambiguity and the unexpected
• Apply multiple delivery frameworks (Agile, Scaled Agile, Waterfall, ITIL) to build comprehensive plans across multi-workstream engagements
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements and executable roadmaps using AWS frameworks (Well-Architected, Cloud Adoption Framework)
• Validate technical solutions against mission objectives; lead architectural reviews and manage technical risk
• Maximize engagement value by negotiating conditions of acceptance, amending scope, financials, and timelines as needed
• Communicate effectively across diverse audiences (product, legal, finance, operations, partners, customers) and drive stakeholder alignment
• Influence AWS service team roadmaps, ProServe offerings, and organizational metrics
• Accelerate progress by creating or optimizing cross-team processes; establish operational excellence standards and reusable mechanisms
