Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the United States (Maryland, Jessup) seeks an Engagement Manager to lead large, multi-workstream cloud engagements for DoD customers. You will own outcomes end-to-end, align technical solutions with customer goals, and build high-performing teams across AWS and partners.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with Agile, SAFe, ITIL, and AWS Well-Architected frameworks. This is an on-site role at AWS locations or customer sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of program or engagement management work leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple and concurrent projects experience.
• 1+ years of working as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross-functional teams experience.
• 3+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead large, complex engagements end-to-end, delivering business outcomes independently with limited guidance.
• Redirect distressed programs to successful outcomes; deal effectively with ambiguity and the unexpected.
• Apply multiple delivery frameworks (Agile, Scaled Agile, Waterfall, ITIL) to build comprehensive plans across multi-workstream engagements.
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements and executable roadmaps using AWS frameworks (Well-Architected, Cloud Adoption Framework).
• Validate technical solutions against mission objectives; lead architectural reviews and manage technical risk.
• Maximize engagement value by negotiating conditions of acceptance, amending scope, financials, and timelines as needed.
• Communicate effectively across diverse audiences (product, legal, finance, operations, partners, customers) and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Influence AWS service team roadmaps, ProServe offerings, and organizational metrics.
• Accelerate progress by creating or optimizing cross-team processes; establish operational excellence standards and reusable mechanisms.
