Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Test Engineer in Bethesda, MD, to provide Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems. The role involves software development for test automation, evaluating results, and improving CI/CD pipelines.

Cross-training to cover systems engineering, software development, training, and security is encouraged. The candidate should have strong scripting skills (Python), experience with automated testing (Selenium/Katalon), and cloud/DevOps familiarity.

Qualifications

• Ability to test back end and front end processes.
• Significant experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate tasks.
• Experience in test data/script development.
• Knowledge of software performance testing practices.
• Experience with creating, executing and documenting test cases in Agile cadence.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile software development initiatives to support testing of applications.
• Assess story points and complexity for proper testing and delivery of functionality.
• Collaborate to develop test approaches with automation for recurring/regression tests.
• Develop test validation scripts using programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Develop automated test cases for GUI/COTS products (e.g., Selenium, Katalon).
• Maintain repeatability and configuration management of test cases/scripts in DevOps practices.
• Document end-to-end test narratives using JIRA/Confluence.
• Generate test data and identify edge cases to meet user needs.
• Support performance testing using tools like JMeter.
• Perform duties within Commercial cloud development environments.
