Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer focused on MATLAB/Simulink to support NASIC/NSIC and related intelligence missions. You will develop, modify, and apply physics-based models of mechanical and aerospace systems to support mission-level analysis. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, translate requirements into models, quantify uncertainty, and document analyses. Strong coding and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience (Level 2) or MS with 0 years.
• BS in CS/SE with 5+ years for Level 3, or MS with 3+ years.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and validate TMAP models for mechanical, aerospace, and space systems.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink to develop and integrate models and support analysis workflows.
• Integrate models with broader modeling & simulation environments (AFSIM, STK, NGTS).
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and DoD personnel to understand system behavior and translate requirements.
• Apply coding skills (Python, C++, MATLAB) to automate workflows and data processing.
• Contribute to technical documentation and intel-based reports.
• Work in an Agile environment using Jira to manage tasks.
