Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years substitution allowed.
• 14 years of Systems Engineer experience in similar scope.
• Strong experience with Rocky Linux and/or RHEL.
• Experience with Linux storage, interface management, patching.
• Ansible and/or Puppet for configuration management.
• VMware virtualization experience.
• Bash scripting experience.
• Familiarity with GitLab and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Linux-based systems (Rocky Linux/RHEL).
• Perform system hardening, patch management, and security compliance.
• Automate tasks with Ansible/Puppet; manage deployments.
• Support VMware environments and VM lifecycle management.
• Develop Bash scripts to automate tasks and workflows.
• Lead root-cause analysis for complex Linux issues.
• Document procedures and enable customer-facing operations.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with teams and customers.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards and health checks.
