Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of substitution possible.
• 14 years of Systems Engineer experience on similar programs.
• Strong experience with Rocky Linux/RHEL environments.
• Proficient in Linux storage, interface management, hardening, and patching.
• Experience with Ansible/Puppet for deployment and automation.
• VMware virtualization experience.
• Familiarity with GitLab and Jira for DevOps workflows.
• Proven ability to diagnose complex Linux issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux systems (Rocky Linux/RHEL).
• Automate configuration with Ansible and/or Puppet; manage deployments.
• Support VMware environments and VM lifecycle management.
• Develop Bash scripts to automate admin tasks and tooling.
• Perform security patching, vulnerability scanning, and hardening.
• Monitor system health and performance across environments.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and outages with teams and customers.
• Document procedures, runbooks, and engineering designs.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to deliver reliability.
