Job summary

Point Solutions Group in Herndon, VA seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain deployment automation for a data-centric secure platform used in mission-critical programs. The role requires strong Unix/Linux, scripting, and configuration management skills and teamwork with site admins.

You will use Python, Perl, Korn, Bash, and Ansible; manage revision control with Git/GitLab/SVN; and support MLS environments.

Qualifications

5+ years Linux, scripting, and configuration management experience.
Proficient with Python, Perl, Korn, Bash, and Ansible.
Experience with CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

Support initial deployment and site coordination for a data-centric, multi-level secure enterprise platform.
Design, build, and maintain DevOps deployment automation processes across Unix/Linux environments.
Develop and maintain scripts and tooling using Python, Perl, Korn, Bash, and Ansible to streamline configuration management and deployment.
Manage source code and configuration using revision control systems (Git, GitLab, GitLab CI, SVN, CVS).
Troubleshoot deployment and automation issues in coordination with site administration teams.
Apply configuration management best practices to maintain platform stability and support the broader enterprise core team.
