Job summary

Assured Consulting Solutions is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to develop and deploy an in-house language model. You will design, train, and optimize ML models, build robust MLOps pipelines, and collaborate with government and industry partners to deliver mission-critical AI capabilities.

You will work in a hybrid setting (Reston, VA or Bolling AFB, DC) with on-site presence required, contribute to secure development, and help ensure model reliability and governance across secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related STEM field or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience in machine learning engineering and model deployment to production
• Strong software engineering skills in Python for model development and experimentation
• Experience deploying and operating LLM-enabled applications and features
• Experience building MLOps infrastructure, experiment tracking, and model versioning
• Ability to define model performance metrics and drive improvements
• Experience deploying in containerized environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Understanding secure development and deployment governance in controlled environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate fine-tuning and model training pipelines
• Create AI/ML and LLM-enabled solutions for mission challenges
• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for new use cases
• Research novel modeling approaches to maximize mission capability
• Translate operational needs into AI/ML designs and plans
• Build and maintain MLOps and model deployment pipelines
• Define and track model performance metrics and use results to improve
• Integrate AI/ML services into application workflows via APIs
• Collaborate with Data Integration Engineers on training data and eval frameworks
• Work with Senior Software Engineers to operationalize AI capabilities securely
• Implement guardrails, monitoring, and fallback strategies for reliability
• Document models, training methodologies, and operational guidance
