Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, implement, and sustain scalable ML/AI capabilities for SOCOM mission partners. You will translate validated models into reliable production features within secure web applications and enterprise workflows, advancing governance, security, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining ML models or AI-enabled software in production.
• Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or XGBoost.
• Experience operationalizing models via APIs, services, containers, CI/CD, version control, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of SQL, data structures, feature pipelines, data quality controls, and secure data platforms.
• Experience building scalable architectures for batch or real-time inference and model serving.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation for diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration across data science, data engineering, software, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and optimize ML algorithms for forecasting, rate prediction, and real-time decision support.
• Develop and refine supervised, unsupervised, time-series, regression, and ensemble models.
• Develop NLP and generative AI solutions tailored to approved use cases.
• Engineer reusable model services, APIs, containers, and components for secure web apps and dashboards.
• Create scalable architectures for batch and real-time inference and model serving.
• Integrate predictive models into existing workflows with reliability and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on data pipelines and validation methods.
• Document assumptions, limitations, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Implement MLOps and DevSecOps practices for versioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Apply secure AI/ML practices including governance, explainability, and risk management.
• Support enterprise adoption across multiple teams and data products.
