Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking an Access Control Officer to support a government customer in Odenton, MD. The role involves managing access to secure facilities, verifying government badges, and ensuring proper clearance and documentation for visitors and contractors.

Responsibilities include random inspections, badge issuance, and maintaining logs and journals. Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and CPR/AED certification, with 2 years of security systems

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience utilizing security systems such as DISS or Scattered Castles.
• Must be CPR and AED certified.
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English.
• Must be able to perform prolonged walking, standing, sitting and stooping for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control services for government facility locations.
• Control access of personnel, equipment, and media going into and out of secure facilities.
• Verify badges and approvals for facility access and ensure equipment/media entry/exit forms are valid.
• Issue ESCORT REQUIRED badges to un-cleared personnel including visitors and contractors.
• Verify security clearance and SCI access levels in DISS or Scattered Castles and issue appropriate badges.
• Notify sponsors of visitor arrival and verify readiness of access.
• Conduct random entry/exit inspections per local EEIP.
• Capture entry-exit form reviews in journals for COR review.
• Utilize CMS (Lenel) for 100% access verification.
• Maintain shift logs and journal entries throughout shifts.
• Maintain sign-in sheets and inventory of government equipment.
• Provide immediate notification of emergencies to police and relevant teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
