Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks an Access Control Officer to support our government customer in Charlottesville, VA. Responsibilities include securing government facilities, verifying badges, and managing visitor control and equipment entry, with Lenel CMS usage and strict adherence to SOPs.

Must hold US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance; 12-hour shift capability and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience using security systems such as DISS or Scattered Castles.
• CPR and AED certification is required.
• Ability to walk/stand/sit/stoop for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
• Fluent English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• Ability to understand and apply posted rules and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control for government facility locations per IDIQ/task orders.
• Control entry/exit of personnel, equipment, and media to secure facilities.
• Verify badges and equipment authorization for SCIF access.
• Issue ESCORT REQUIRED badges to un-cleared personnel and visitors.
• Verify clearance and SCI access in DISS or Scattered Castles; issue visitor badges.
• Conduct random entry/exit inspections per local EEIP.
• Ensure proper forms for equipment/media entries; document reviews in journals.
• Utilize CMS (Lenel) for 100% access verification.
• Maintain shift logs and sign-in sheets; log accountability for equipment.
• Promptly report attempts of forced entry or life-threatening emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
