Job summary

C3EL is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DISA's GSM-O II contract at Ford Island, Hawaii. You will maintain Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments, work with VM farms and cloud resources, and ensure operations align with SLAs and ALPs.

Roles require DoD clearance and on-call availability. The position involves travel up to ~5%, collaboration with network teams, and documentation of procedures and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Requires active Top Secret clearance and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Proficiency with VMware Vcenter and integration of NM/EM systems with performance, ticketing and security subsystems.
• Experience with networked storage: NAS/SAN, enclave Ethernet switches.
• Experience in Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server in a multi-user environment.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and security baselines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems running Red Hat Linux and Windows Server.
• Set up administrator and service accounts; tune performance; install system-wide software; manage mass storage.
• Collaborate with network admins; evaluate vendor products; advise on hardware/software purchases.
• Develop and monitor SLAs/ALPs; document procedures; provide coaching to junior staff.
• Support on-site M-F plus on-call, extended hours and weekend support as required.
