Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DISA's GSM-O II contract at Ford Island, Hawaii. The role focuses on maintaining multi-user Redhat Linux systems, with Windows Server on a global network management system, and cloud work in AWS. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Responsibilities include SLA-driven operations, documentation, and on-call support. The ideal candidate has a TS clearance, DoD 8750 IAT II certification, Bash/Perl scripting, and experience with VM/VCenter,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
8 years of overall related experience with Unix or Redhat Linux.
Experience with VMware vCenter and associated products.
Experience with integration of Network Management and Element Management systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems.
Experience with storage area networks (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS).
Shell scripting (bash) and Perl.
Application of security settings and DISA STIGs.
Active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Experience working in an AWS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user Linux systems and coordinate with network administrators.
Set up administrator and service accounts, tune system performance, install system-wide software and allocate mass storage.
Provide on-call, extended hours, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations.
Develop, document, and track measurements and metrics relevant to SLAs and ALPs.
Provide coaching and review of lower level technical staff.
