Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DISA GSM-O II at Ford Island, Hawaii. Manage multi-user Linux systems (Redhat) and Windows Server within a global network management setup, including cloud environments.

You will work M-F with on-call and extended hour support, and ~5% travel; role emphasizes SLA-based performance, documentation, and metrics tracking to meet ALP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8 years of Unix/Redhat/Linux experience.
• Experience with VMware vCenter and related products.
• Experience integrating NM and EM with performance, tickets and security subsystems.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage and enclave Ethernet switches.
• Shell scripting (bash) and Perl.
• Apply security settings and DISA STIGS.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• DoD 8750 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ce).
• Experience in AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user systems and coordinate with network admins.
• Set up administrator/service accounts, tune performance, and install system-wide software.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
• Recommend hardware/software purchases and coordinate installation and backup recovery.
• Develop and monitor policies for allocation of computing resources.
• Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Coach and review lower-level technical staff.
• Provide M-F hours, plus on-call/extended hours/weekend support as required.
