Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DISA's GSM-O II contract at Ford Island, Hawaii. The role involves maintaining multi-user Red Hat Linux servers with Windows Server components, including cloud deployments and a global network management system.

The candidate will work M-F with on-call, extended hours, and weekend support as required by mission needs. Travel up to 5% domestically and internationally may be required, and SLA adherence is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8 years of related Unix/Linux experience.
Experience with VMware Vcenter and related products.
Experience integrating Network Management and Element Management systems with performance, ticketing, and security subsystems.
Experience with SAN/NAS storage and enclave Ethernet switches.
Shell scripting (bash) and Perl.
Apply security settings and DISA STIGs.
Active Top Secret clearance required; DoD 8750 IAT II certification.
Experience in AWS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user Linux systems and coordinate with network admins.
Set up admin and service accounts, tune performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage.
Interact with users, evaluate vendor products, and make recommendations.
Develop and monitor policies for allocation of computing resources.
Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
Provide coaching to junior staff and on-call/extended hours as required.
