Job summary

North Point Technology is looking for a DevOps / Systems Engineer to join our Cloud Automation Advancements Team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have an active Top Secret security clearance and will engage in setting up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining custom code, collaborating with technical leaders, and thriving in a fast-paced cloud environment to deliver innovative systems in support of our mission.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post hire.
• DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+).

Responsibilities

• Stand up and maintain Windows Servers in cloud environments.
• Deploy and maintain custom code, COTS, and GOTS in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based system.
• Thrive in cloud automation and build innovative systems.

Skills

Cloud computing and Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Administering Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

System design and architecture across hardware, software, and networking

DevSecOps methodologies and workflows

Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines

GitLab functionality and scripting
