Job summary

Tetra Pak is seeking a TS-Account Engineer - A1 (G) to perform preventive maintenance and install/commission systems nationwide. 25% travel expected; travel both domestically and internationally. Not sponsoring visas or relocation. This role emphasizes safety, customer training, and proactive problem solving across global packaging equipment.

The candidate will interpret schematics, work with PLCs, and collaboratively improve service quality while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with vapor compression refrigeration systems (ammonia R-717).
• Experience with electrical systems 24–600V and motor control.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on food-processing systems.
• Install and commission complete Tetra Pak systems.
• Install rebuilding/upgrade kits per procedures.
• Report technical issues in a timely manner and drive improvements.
• Train internal and customer personnel on equipment operation and safety.
• Escalate safety, QA, and regulatory issues as needed.
• Create and handover service reports following procedures.

Job Summary

TS-Account Engineer - A1 (G) (multiple openings)

Position reports to Tetra Pak headquarters in Denton, TX, but will work at various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. 25% Domestic and international travel required. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As a TS-Account Engineer - A1 (G), you will:

• Conduct preventive maintenance activities for our customers in the food industry in line with Tetra Pak standard global procedures and reinstate Tetra Pak food packaging and processing systems equipment into the customer's production environments according to defined expectations.
• Execute installation and commissioning tasks of complete Tetra Pak systems.
• Execute installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures.
• Execute timely reporting of all discovered technical issues.
• Using continuous improvement methodology to drive performance at the customer site.
• Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as any issues affecting the customers or the quality of Tetra Pak service.
• Inform management about any business opportunities discovered for customers.
• Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak by promoting good working relationships with the customers and ensuring that Tetra Pak's reputation is sustained.
• Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done.
• Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak personnel safety, Tetra Pak food safety, and customer safety regulations and requirements.
• Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory issues.
• Conduct on-site/off-site Operator and Mechanical training for internal Tetra Pak and customer personnel.
• Maintain an issue resolution database and perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services onsite and remotely.
• Conduct regular time entry, service reporting, and e-mail correspondence.

We believe you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of related experience.
• Must also have work experience in:
  • Vapor compression refrigeration systems, including ammonia (R-717) systems;
  • Low and high voltage electrical equipment ranging from 24 to 600 volts, including power supplies, motors, various sensors and actuators, and control systems;
  • Basic Allen Bradley automation knowledge and connecting to various PLCs, inverters, and servos using Allen Bradley software including RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, and RS Logix Studio;
  • Troubleshooting and rebuilding various mechanical systems, including mechanical seals, bearings, bushings, power transmission (chains and belts), cams, tie rods, pneumatic cylinders, pumps, and valves;
  • Providing customer trainings on modern automated industrial food processing equipment;
  • Reading and understanding electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
