Job summary

Tetra Pak seeks a Service Engineer- S2 to support our food processing systems across the U.S. The role reports to headquarters in Denton, TX and requires 85% travel internationally and domestically. No visa sponsorship or relocation is offered.

You will perform preventive maintenance, install and commission systems, upgrade kits, and train customer operators while maintaining safety and quality adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field; 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field; 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Low and high voltage electrical equipment experience (24–600V) including power supplies, motors, sensors and actuators, and control systems.
  • Basic Allen Bradley or similar industrial automation platforms and components.
  • Troubleshooting and rebuilding mechanical systems (seals, bearings, belts, pumps, valves).
  • Providing customer operator trainings on modern automated industrial food processing equipment.
  • Reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance for customer equipment in the food industry per global procedures.
  • Install and commission complete Tetra Pak systems.
  • Install rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures.
  • Report technical issues promptly and accurately.
  • Inform staff and management about service activities and opportunities.
  • Provide on-site operator training and maintain an issue resolution database.
  • Complete reports and distribute them per procedures.

Job SummaryService Engineer- S2 (multiple openings)

Position reports to Tetra Pak headquarters in Denton, TX, but will work at various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. 85% International and domestic travel. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities for our customers in the food industry in line with Tetra Pak standard global procedures and reinstate Tetra Pak food packaging and processing systems equipment into the customer's production environments according to defined expectations.
  • Execute installation and commissioning tasks of complete Tetra Pak systems.
  • Execute installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures.
  • Execute timely reporting of all discovered technical issues.
  • Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as any issues affecting the customers or the quality of Tetra Pak service.
  • Inform management about any business opportunities discovered for customers.
  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak by promoting good working relationships with the customers and ensuring that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained.
  • Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done.
  • Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak personnel safety, Tetra Pak food safety, and customer safety regulations and requirements.
  • Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory issues.
  • Conduct on-site operator training for customer personnel.
  • Maintain an issue resolution database and perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services onsite and remotely.
  • Conduct regular time entry, service reporting and e‑mail correspondence.
We believe you have

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of relevant experience.

Alternatively, will accept an Associate’s degree in Industrial Systems, Automation, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related field, and 7 years of relevant experience.

Must also have work experience in:
  1. Low and high voltage electrical equipment ranging from 24 to 600 volts, including power supplies, motors, various sensors and actuators, and control systems;
  2. Basic Allen Bradley or similar industrial automation platforms and their respective components;
  3. Troubleshooting and rebuilding various mechanical systems, including mechanical seals, bearings, bushings, power transmission (chains and belts), cams, tie rods, pneumatic cylinders, pumps, and valves;
  4. Providing customer operator trainings on modern automated industrial food processing equipment;
  5. Reading and understanding electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings;
