A law firm seeks a Trusts & Estates Associate to join its Private Clients Group in Greenwich, CT. Duties
- Provide legal support in estate planning and estate administration matters.
- Draft legal documents related to trusts and estates, including wills and powers of attorney.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
- Assist in the administration of estates, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive estate planning strategies.
- Maintain meticulous records and manage case files effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar or willingness to seek admission.
- New York Bar admission is preferred but not required.
- Strong aptitude in tax law and estate planning principles.
Education
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred but not required.
Certifications
- Active bar admission in Connecticut; New York admission is a plus.
