E Logic is seeking a skilled Trusted Tester Level II (Web Testing and Document Remediation) to perform Section 508 conformance testing for DHS ICT and to remediate electronic documents and forms. This remote-role supports the DHS OCIO EAD and reports to the Prime Contractor, with occasional on-site direction as needed.

The candidate must have a HS diploma, DHS Trusted Tester Certification v5.0+, and at least 2 years in accessibility testing and document remediation per Section 508.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • DHS Trusted Tester Certification Version 5.0 or later (must possess and maintain throughout the life of the task order).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of accessibility testing experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience testing and remediating electronic documents for Section 508 standards.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Section 508 testing of ICT using the current version of DHS-approved assessment methods and test reporting tools and formats.
  • Maintain DHS Trusted Tester certification throughout the life of the task order.
  • Perform document remediation for electronic documents and forms (including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, etc.) using Section 508 Tests for Documents endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice.
  • Provide Section 508 technical assistance and respond to Section 508 questions that arise during technical evaluations of Accessibility Conformance Reports or VPATs.
  • Develop accessibility test plans.
  • Advise on how to interpret accessibility test results and remediate Section 508 defects.
  • Provide remediation support for ICT.
  • Provide Section 508 technical assistance for students completing accessibility training and Trusted Tester certification examinations.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks and reviews of Section 508 test results completed by HQ 508 Program Trusted Testers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with DHS Trusted Tester guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date Trusted Tester certification (Version 5.0 or later) throughout the life of the task order.
  • Participate in events and other activities where presentations or contractor presence is required.
  • Ensure all materials for events are prepared, delivered, and accessible.

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Trusted Tester Level II (Web Tester and Documents) to provide Section 508 accessibility testing and document remediation support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Experience and Accessibility Division (EAD). This role performs Section 508 conformance testing of ICT and document remediation for electronic documents and forms.

This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for HR, disciplinary, and administrative matters, while receiving work direction from the Government Section 508 Program Manager and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

This is a remote position with occasional on-site requirements as directed by the Government.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Section 508 testing of various Information and Communications Technology (ICT) using the current version of DHS-approved assessment methods and test reporting tools and formats
  • Use the DHS Trusted Tester Section 508 Conformance Test Process for Web (Version 5.0 or later) and maintain DHS Trusted Tester certification throughout the life of the task order
  • Perform document remediation for electronic documents and forms (including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, etc.) using Section 508 Tests for Documents endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice
  • Provide Section 508 technical assistance and respond to Section 508 questions that arise during technical evaluations of Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) or Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT)
  • Develop accessibility test plans
  • Advise on how to interpret accessibility test results and remediate Section 508 defects

Required Qualifications
  • Education:High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Security:Must meet minimum DHS SUITABILITY requirements for Entry on Duty (EOD) unless otherwise indicated
  • Language:Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools, document remediation tools, and DHS-approved test reporting formats
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing DHS-owned or DHS-managed websites, web applications, portals, and other ICT
  • Experience remediating Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents for Section 508 compliance
  • Familiarity with the Harmonized ICT Testing Baseline for Web
  • Experience with Accessibility Compliance Management System (ACMS) or similar ticketing systems
  • Experience providing technical assistance to students completing Trusted Tester certification examinations
  • Experience conducting quality checks and reviews of Section 508 test results

Schedule & Work Conditions
  • Hours:Up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, normal business hours (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST), excluding Federal holidays
  • Overtime:Only permitted at the Government's discretion
  • Telework:Remote; occasional on-site support may be required as directed by the Government
  • Travel:Not authorized
  • Place of Performance:Remote (primary); TSA Headquarters, Springfield, VA (if on-site support is requested)
