Job summary

Safe Harbor Home Care in San Diego is hiring Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers to provide non-medical support in clients' homes and communities. Duties include bathing, dressing, grooming, meal planning, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship to help clients remain at home.

Minimum qualifications include 18 years of age or older, valid I-9, clearance on the Home Care Aide Registry, TB certificate, and CA state HCA registration.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents
• Clearance verified on the Home Care Aide Registry
• Current TB certificate
• Registered with state of CA and active HCA number
• Completed LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
• LIC 501 Personnel Record
• SOC 341A understanding and reporting obligations
• Minimum of five hours orientation before client contact

Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A)

Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level orientation training prior to presence with client(s)

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care including but not limited to:

Bathing, shaving, ambulation, mouth care, dressing, exercising, hair care, feeding, toileting/incontinence care, nail care, positioning, medication reminders, skin care, transferring, meal planning & preparation, light chores and more.

Safe Harbor Home Care is a San Diego based, locally operated company that provides in-home care services.
