Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Safety Program Manager to lead trust-building narratives within the Platform Responsibility team in San Jose. You will shape product safety communications, align across PR/GR/Legal, and coach PMs on storytelling for high-stakes moments.

You will own cross-functional launch readiness, translate complex product mechanics into clear, human-centric messages, and serve as the primary product-side point of contact during crises.

Qualifications

• Experience in cross-functional initiatives across Product, Communications, Government Relations, and Legal.
• Ability to translate highly technical product logic into persuasive, human-centric narratives.
• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Build the Communication Tiering Mechanism and drive regular updates to PR/GR/Legal before crises.
• Shape narrative and ensure safety philosophy is reflected in product decisions and external statements.
• Be the single point of contact in high-stakes moments for PR/GR/Legal and coach PMs on storytelling.
