Job summary

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is seeking an Accounting Associate to strengthen the accounting team in a fast-paced, hybrid NYC office. You will focus on timely invoicing and collection of client payments, plus basic A/R/A/P duties, data entry, and customized Excel reporting to meet client needs.

The role requires a 3+ year Finance/Accounting background, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; must have 3+ years Finance/Accounting experience
• Experience reconciling accounts, statements, etc. and resolving discrepancies
• Entertainment experience is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; 10-key by touch; typing 45 wpm
• Good organizational skills and initiative

Responsibilities

• Review contracts/bookings to ensure accurate information in the accounting system
• Investigate held checks or wires with client team to submit missing bookings
• Support agents with booking report submissions
• Perform month-end close tasks for accounts receivable; record revenue
• Handle monthly billing adjustments and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with special projects and process improvements
• Collect/upload profit statements and update booking/invoicing grids
• Maintain communication with agents, managers, and trust department
