Job summary

First American Trust is seeking a Trust Operations Specialist to perform advanced trust accounting tasks within a regulated environment. You will ensure accuracy in cash processing, settlements, and general ledger controls while guiding junior staff and supporting audits.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in bank trust operations, strong Excel skills, and a detail-focused approach to complex disbursements and note settlements. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in trust operations and financial processing in a regulated setting.
• Strong ability to reconcile accounts and manage cash flows accurately.
• Proven track record in handling settlements and general ledger controls.
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or expert resource for complex trust operations and related tasks.
• Handle cash receipts, disbursements, income, settlements, and ledger control.
• Perform monthly certifications and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Input accounting entries and balance daily blotter with the trust system.
• Review rejects and ensure data integrity across daily transmissions.
• Process complex disbursements, notes, and trust fees with accuracy.
