Job summary

First American Trust in Santa Ana, CA seeks a reconciliation specialist to establish, build, and maintain relationships with Trust Accounting clients and to deliver full-service reconciliation from routine to complex issues.

You will identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and resolve issues while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data; the role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5–7 years of relevant experience, plus strong computer, analytical, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of directly relevant reconciliation, accounting, or audit work experience; mortgage/title insurance preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; able to learn custom applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and experience with financial software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Compare financial records: reconcile escrow accounting records, ledgers and bank statements to ensure they match.
• Identify discrepancies and errors between different financial sources.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by determining causes and working with clients.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
