Job summary

First American is seeking a detail‑oriented Reconciliation Specialist in Washington state to join our Trust Accounting team. You will analyze records, identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across complex ledgers.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5–7 years of reconciliation, accounting, or audit experience (mortgage or title insurance preferred), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of directly relevant reconciliation, accounting, or audit work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and ability to learn custom applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Compare financial records and reconcile escrow accounting ledgers and bank statements.
• Identify discrepancies and investigate causes with clients to resolve them.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data across complex records.
