Join to apply for the Trust Administration Advisor role at Truist

This is a remote position, preferably within the geography of Truist.

Job Summary

Directly administers and provides fiduciary advice and oversight for all types of Wealth trust accounts including personal trusts, special needs trusts, investment management, custodial and guardianship accounts. Manages a portfolio of varying accounts in levels of complexity and asset size.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret financial, estate planning, legal, and fiduciary documents; deliver fiduciary advice to clients or client teams.
  • Partner with client teams to identify and onboard new fiduciary business.
  • Meet or exceed client service standards by collaborating with Client Advisors, Investment Portfolio Managers, Wealth Strategists, and external advisors to achieve clients' financial, estate, tax, and banking goals.
  • Ensure trust administrative duties are completed efficiently, including review of trust documents, cash management, troubleshooting, and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate annual regulatory reviews and tax matters for accounts, including 1099s, 1041s, etc.
  • Escalate matters appropriately to Risk Oversight, Legal, and Compliance departments.
  • Complete assigned projects as per business needs.
  • Adhere to Truist policies, applicable laws, and trust document terms.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience as a relationship manager in Fiduciary Services, Private Wealth, or Institutional Investment Management, with 5+ years in Trust Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, fiduciary, and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, legal document interpretation, and system knowledge skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or certifications such as JD, MBA, CFP, CPA, or CTFA.
  • Experience with Trust Financial Software.
