Eagle Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly organized Intermodal Trucking Dispatcher to coordinate the daily movement of containers between rail yards, ports, customer facilities, and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ports and railroads and related operations.
• Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, safety rules, and DOT compliance.
• Experience coordinating with owner-operator drivers and fleets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with carrier logs and transportation documentation.
• Proficient with Google Docs/Sheets/Gmail and Microsoft Excel.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and monitor intermodal drivers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery of containers.
• Coordinate freight movements between rail terminals, ports, warehouses, and customer locations.
• Communicate daily with drivers regarding load assignments, route changes, delays, and operational updates.
• Track container status, appointments, chassis availability, and equipment utilization.
• Monitor driver hours-of-service (HOS) compliance and safety requirements.
• Resolve service issues, delays, and unexpected operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update transportation management systems (TMS).
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, scheduling, and service concerns.
• Coordinate with railroads, steamship lines, brokers, and terminal personnel.
• Review and optimize routes to maximize productivity and minimize empty miles.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and customer requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Ports and Railroads
• Knowledge of FMCSA Regulations, safety rules and DOT preventable truck maintenance
• Experience working with owner operator drivers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
• Knowledge of logs related to commercial/intermodal carriers
• Computer skills-must be confident utilizing the Google suite of products (docs, sheets, Gmail, etc) and Microsoft Excel
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required
