Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Kyle, Texas to maintain a fleet of moving vans and box trucks. You will perform oil changes, brake work, and routine maintenance with supervision, while expanding your skills toward diagnostics.

The role requires ASE certification, 2+ years of auto repair experience, a valid license, and the ability to obtain DOT clearance. On-site work with benefits and training is provided.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of professional auto repair experience.
At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 more in the first year.
Working knowledge of ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work.
Carry out warranty-related repairs based on experience level.
Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
May drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational support.
