Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring a diesel truck and trailer mechanic at our Casper, WY location. The role offers a path to ASME welder certification, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM shift and a pay range of $20.00–$39.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include DOT inspections, brake system work, tank trailer maintenance, welding and fabrication, and ensuring compliance with hazmat rules.

Qualifications

3+ years of heavy-duty trailer or tanker mechanic experience preferred.
Knowledge of DOT tanker requirements and hazmat regulations.
Experience working on chemical tankers strongly preferred.
Welding experience (TIG/MIG preferred for stainless/aluminum).
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop/outdoor environments.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform DOT annual inspections and preventative maintenance on chemical tanker trailers.
Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS systems, and suspension components.
Inspect and repair tanker barrel integrity, baffles, weld seams, and structural components.
Service and repair valves, manways, gaskets, vapor recovery systems, and discharge systems.
Perform pressure/vacuum testing and leak detection.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (if equipped).
Conduct aluminum and stainless-steel welding/fabrication as needed.
Maintain proper documentation of inspections and repairs.
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat regulations.
Maintain safe shop practices and follow OSHA guidelines.

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $20.00 to $39.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Required Qualifications
