Tyson Foods in Broken Bow, OK is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Maintenance to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation. The role is on 2nd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 p.m.

to 8:00 a.m., with overtime and weekend work as required. Candidates should have mechanical or maintenance experience, with CDL and welding certification boosting pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year mechanical or maintenance experience or equivalent technical certificate in mechanical field from accredited school.
• Minimum tool list will be required to be accepted for this position.
• Prior Tyson employment rules apply (waiting period for rehire).

Job Details

2nd Shift:Schedule: Sunday through ThursdayHours: 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Position : Diesel Mechanic Maintenance, ME01 to ME06

Base Pay : $20.30 - $29.00 based on experience. $1 extra for CDL. $2 extra for welding certificate.

Pay: determine by skill level.

Job Description

This position is responsible for all phases of mechanical duties from tire changing to engine repair while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Applicants will be considered for any mechanic start type opening on any shift, such as day, evening or night shift as well as overtime and weekends if required.

Must accept work in a cold or warm environment.

Some duties require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 70+ lbs.

Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching and pulling.

Requirements

• 1 year mechanical or maintenance experience or equivalent technical certificate in mechanical field from accredited school listed in application.
• Minimum tool list will be required to be accepted for this position. Please see list below.
• If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
• Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there's a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
• Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Minimum Tool List

• Combination wrenches: SAE¼-1-1/4: Metric6-26
• 3/8 drive sockets: SAE¼-15/16: Metric6-20 deep and shallow sockets: at least 1 ratchet 1. 3-inch extension 1. 6-inch extension.
• ½ inch drive sockets: SAE9/16-1-1/4: Metric14-26 deep and shallow sockets: at least 1 ratchet 1.3-inch extension 1. 6-inch extension.
• Straight and Philips screwdrivers of various length.
• Torques head bits or screwdrivers: t5-t55.
• Allen wrenches or bits 1/16- 5/16 inch; Metric1.5-5.5
• 3 different length pry bars
• Pliers to include needle nose, channel lock style, vise grip.
• 2 different size crescent wrenches.
• 12-volt electrical test light
• Hammers
• Securable toolbox big enough to hold all tools.
