Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment is seeking a Service Writer to greet customers, gather repair requirements, and relay information to the repair team. You will prepare estimates, document payment and delivery details, and coordinate with the Service Department to ensure smooth processing of service orders.

This role emphasizes strong communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers and involves pre-employment testing as part of our safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers, vendors and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and initiate the write up process.
• Determine the customer’s needs and convey this information onto the repair order.
• Provide supporting documents to determine warranty coverage and open campaigns.
• Document requests by the customer (payment method, pickup/delivery, authorizations, PO numbers).
• Acquire customer approvals, provide estimates, book and close service tickets.
• Assist with closing other repair orders as needed.
• Answer incoming service phone calls.
• Maintain knowledge as liaison between the Service Department and the customer.
