Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time Service Technician to service customers and vehicles. Responsibilities include inspection, disassembly/assembly, report writing, and parts reconditioning with manuals and safety focus.

A minimum of one year of fleet, dealership, or technical school experience is expected. The role emphasizes quality customer service, adherence to safety, and ongoing training to stay current with factory bulletins and procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years fleet or dealership experience.
• Experience reading job orders and diagnosing vehicle issues.
• Ability to follow checklists and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures
• Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction
