Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading marketing and operations for the Truck Service department. You will help guide technicians in troubleshooting and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes team leadership, coaching, recruitment and financial responsibility while upholding safety standards and company guidelines across 280+ locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience in truck service or travel center a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Truck Service team to meet or exceed performance standards.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members.
• Assist in guiding technicians through troubleshooting and repairs of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Conduct inspections to ensure products and services are available.
• Contribute to achieving financial objectives via effective people, product, service and facility management.
• Adhere to safety standards and vendor guidelines.
