Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial truck/dealership service environment preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to explain technical repair information clearly to customers.
• Experience managing multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with dealership management software.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and schedule service and repair appointments for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Open, update, and close repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process.
• Communicate vehicle status updates, ETA, and repair recommendations.
• Coordinate with diesel technicians to prioritize work and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Review technician findings and prepare accurate repair estimates.
• Recommend preventative maintenance services and necessary repairs in a professional and ethical manner.
• Research warranty coverage, recalls, service bulletins, and manufacturer repair information.
• Ensure all labor operations, parts, and customer concerns are properly documented on repair orders.
• Monitor work in progress and proactively communicate delays or additional repair needs.
• Assist in maintaining departmental productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Build long-term relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service and follow-through.
• Maintain compliance with dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards.

Education

Business degree preferred

Experience in heavy-duty truck dealership environment
