The position requires strong customer service, knowledge of heavy truck repair, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. DOT drug screening is required; salary ranges $25-$30 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all customer contact with the Service Department, including repair estimates, service appointments, customer authorization on service orders, status-of-repair inquiries, payment terms and complaints.
• Generates and maintains work orders and repair orders; assists customers in identifying needed services and issues clear repair instructions to technicians.
• Coordinates with the Service Manager to ensure timely completion of repairs and updates customers on changes in service, costs, or time.
• Calculates labor charges on repair orders and reconciles orders with final invoices; transmits information to payroll and resolves discrepancies.
• Maintains timely, courteous relations with service customers and analyzes quality control reports.
• Promotes sales of labor, parts and accessories and follows up on suggested repairs.
• Maintains up-to-date hourly service rates and promotions; reviews competitor information.
• Keeps technical bulletins and service literature current and processes purchase orders.
