Responsibilities

• Coordinate all customer contact with the Service Department, including repair estimates, service appointments, customer authorization, status inquiries, payment terms and complaints.
• Generate and maintain all work orders and repair orders; assist customers in identifying needed services; issue clear repair instructions.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to assure timely completion of work; monitor progress and update customers on changes in costs or time.
• Calculate labor charges on repair orders; review charges; close orders; reconcile with final invoice; report discrepancies.
• Maintain courteous relations with customers; analyze quality control reports.
• Promote labor, parts and accessories during customer contact; follow up on suggested repairs.
• Maintain up-to-date service rates and competitor offerings.
• Maintain technical bulletins and service literature.
• Issue non-inventory purchase orders; receive purchase orders.
• Control cash box; collect payments; report balances; secure box.
• Assist Service Manager with records; type forms and answer phones.
• Monitor open repair orders; resolve delays; coordinate with parts.
• Issue workers’ compensation forms and forward to Service Manager for processing.
