Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company is seeking a Service Advisor for the Chesapeake, VA location to manage repair orders and assist the Service Manager with department records.

The role includes coordinating customer contact, generating and closing orders, monitoring repairs, calculating labor and promoting parts during interactions. DOT compliance and heavy-truck knowledge are important. This position offers hourly pay with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer contact with the Service Department, including repair estimates and service appointments.
• Generate, monitor and close all repair orders and assist in Service Department records.
• Monitor progress of repairs and update customers on changes in service, costs or time.
• Calculate labor charges on repair orders and reconcile final invoices.
• Promote sales of labor, parts and accessories during customer contact.
• Maintain up-to-date information on service rates and shop literature.
