Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Truck Equipment Installer for a permanent role based out of Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will read electrical and hydraulic schematics, install hydraulic systems, and perform MIG welding and fabrication with strong quality inspection skills.

This onsite position offers a tight-knit shop environment, with flexible start times and weekly pay. You'll operate cranes up to 10k capacity, train others, and troubleshoot issues in a rugged shop setting on the first shift.

Truck Equipment Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Equipment Installer who is adept in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics and has advanced skills in hydraulic systems installation. The ideal candidate will also have strong MIG welding and fabrication abilities, along with experience in quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Operate electric/hydraulic cranes up to 10k capacity.
• Perform advanced hydraulic system installations.
• Provide backup support to Lead TM/Supervisor as needed.
• Train and instruct others effectively.
• Demonstrate above-average welding skills, particularly in MIG welding and fabrication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure standards are met.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in hydraulics, mechanical assembly, and MIG welding.
• Strong blueprint reading capabilities.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with expertise in repair and troubleshooting.
• Experience in fitting, assembly, and installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willing to learn crane and forklift operations.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
