Job summary

Knight Transportation, Inc. is seeking CDL-A truck driver trainers to mentor the next generation of drivers. You will be paid for both your miles and your student’s miles, with additional weekly and production bonuses.

The role offers substantial earnings potential, strong benefits, and opportunities to train while continuing to drive. To qualify, you must have a Class A license, meet experience requirements, pass DOT tests, and be willing to mentor new drivers across multiple trips and routes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with valid Class A license.
• 6 months of Class A experience in the last year or 1 year in last 5 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in past 2 years; no major accident in past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 2 years; pass DOT physical and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new CDL-A drivers to increase skills and safety.
• Provide support and guidance to trainees while earning miles and student miles.
• Participate in bonus programs tied to production and safety performance.

Job Details:

We are looking for passionate CDL-A Truck Drivers to become training mentors for new CDL-A drivers. Pass the torch and help develop the next generation of truck drivers while being financially rewarded for your time.

• $162,600 average annual earnings for top performing trainers
• $3,100 average weekly earnings for top performing trainers
• Trainers are compensated for both their miles and their student’s miles while training
• $200 weekly pay for having a student on the truck on top of milage pay
• Trainers earn a matching bonus for all production & safety bonuses their graduated trainees earn in their first 12 months of employment
