The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is seeking multiple Truck Drivers to support pothole repair, street cleaning, snow/ice response, and vegetation management across Seattle. Expect varied shifts including day, swing, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience operating trucks over 10,000 lbs GVW.
• Knowledge of City, State, and Federal rules governing safe truck operation.
• Completion of Commercial Driver Training or equivalent background.
• Valid WA State Class B CDL with tanker endorsement; airbrake restriction removed.
• Flagging Card and First Aid/CPR may be required within six months.

Responsibilities

• Drive dump trucks with trailers to haul materials and loads.
• Operate specialized equipment such as hotbox asphalt trucks and snow plows.
• Operate mechanical/hydraulic equipment attached to trucks; perform minor repairs.
• Inspect trucks and equipment to ensure safe condition.
• Clean equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Lead a crew of laborers for patching roads and brush clearing.
• Maintain mileage and maintenance records for equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
